Chuning, Zweifel Earn Women's T&F Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Corie Chuning (Southwest Baptist) and Jennifer Zweifel (Truman) have been named MIAA Women's Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week for action from the beginning of the indoor season through Dec. 11 as selected by a conference SID panel.
MIAA WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Corie Chuning, Jr., Southwest Baptist
Chuning started off the season in spectacular fashion by winning
the 60-meter dash at the MSSU Early Bird Open. Chuning's time of
7.72 is a new school record and a national provisional qualifying
mark. The Excelsior Springs, Mo., native currently ranks seventh in
the nation in the 60 meters, and first in the MIAA.

MIAA WOMEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jennifer Zweifel, Sr., Truman
Zweifel set NCAA provisional marks in both the long and triple jump
in her first meet of the season, the Iowa State Holiday Preview.
The Maryville, Mo., native won the long jump with a mark of
18-05.75 and was second in the triple jump at 38-09.75. Both marks
are fifth in Division II.
