NCAA Outdoor Championships Set to Begin

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three MIAA men’s teams and four women’s teams are ranked in the USTFCCCA NCAA Division II National Team Rankings heading into the 2010 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 27-29 at Irwin Belk Complex in Charlotte, N.C., hosted by Johnson C. Smith University.

On the men’s side, Pittsburg State is No. 4 in the country, Central Missouri is No. 10 and Emporia State is No. 12.
 
For the women, Missouri Southern is eighth in the country, Nebraska-Omaha is No. 17, Pittsburg State is No. 21 and Central Missouri is No. 23.

The NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships begin Thursday with the decathlon at 10:30 a.m. Thursday’s field events are set to begin at 12:30 p.m. with the women’s hammer throw, and the track events start at 5:20 p.m. with the prelims of the women’s 4x100-meter relay.
