Central Missouri Duo Named Athletes of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Lindsay Lettow and Kayla
Muyskens of Central Missouri have been named MIAA Women's Track
& Field Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Jan. 25-31
as selected by a conference SID panel. Lettow and Muyskens are both
honored for the first time this season.
MIAA WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Lindsay Lettow, So., Central Missouri
Lettow won the 60-meter hurdles at the Missouri Southern
Invitational with a provisional mark of 8.90. The sophomore from
Urbandale, Iowa, also won the 400 meters (58.63) and made the
finals of the 60-meter dash but did not run. Lettow was also second
in the long jump with a provisional mark of 18-3 feet and tied for
second in the high jump at 5-4 ¼ feet.
MIAA WOMEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kayla Muyskens, Jr., Central Missouri
Muyskens won the shot put at the Missouri Southern
Invitational with an automatic-qualifying throw of 47-08.00 feet.
The junior from Yale, Iowa, also placed third in the weight throw
with a mark of 52-07.50 feet. Muyskens's throw in the shot put
ranks fourth in the nation.
