For the men's tournament, Truman will be the fourth seed, Nebraska-Omaha will be the No. 5 seed and Emporia State will be the No. 6 seed.
Preceding the tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday morning will be an opening ceremony where the 14 teams will be recognized, seniors will be honored and the regular season championship trophies will be presented.
The 2010 MIAA Tennis Championships will officially begin at 9:30 a.m. with the women's first round matches. KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Men's and women's brackets for the 2010 MIAA Tennis Championships have been released, the conference office announced Thursday.
Northwest Missouri will be the No. 1 seed for both the men's
and women's tournaments. The Bearcat men, who tied with Southwest
Baptist and Washburn for the regular season championship, earned
the top seed through draw. Southwest Baptist will be the No. 2
seed, and Washburn will be No. 3.
The Washburn women will be the No. 2 seed this weekend, with
Southwest Baptist being the No. 3 seed, Truman the fourth seed,
Nebraska-Omaha the No. 5 seed, Emporia State the sixth seed, Fort
Hays State the seventh seed and Missouri Western the No. 8
seed.
