MIAA Soccer Championship Gameday Central
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Central Missouri scored two goals in a 13-minute span in the second half to defeat Missouri Southern, 3-1, and claim the 2011 MIAA Soccer Tournament Championship Sunday afternoon at Stanley H. Durwood Soccer Stadium on the campus of UMKC.
Central Missouri (19-1) earns the MIAA’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Tournament. The Jennies will learn their seed and the tournament location Monday when the NCAA holds its selection show. Missouri Southern ends its season with a 9-10-1 overall record.
