Truman's Reuck Named NSCAA All-American

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (TSU Media Relations) -
Truman women's soccer player Katie Reuck has been named a
third-team all-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association
of America (NSCAA). The senior was a first-team NSCAA all-region
selection and becomes the program's first all-American since
2004.
Reuck (Jacksonville, Ill.; Jacksonville) finished her three-year
Truman career with 20 goals after transferring from Rockhurst (Mo.)
University prior to her sophomore season. She ranks 10th all-time
in Bulldog scoring history and finished with 50 career points,
adding ten assists to her 20 goals scored.
As a senior, she finished third on the squad with five goals and
added three assists on the way to picking up first-team all-MIAA
and second-team Daktronics all-region honors. Reuck was named to
the all-MIAA first-team each of her three seasons in Kirksville and
was a unanimous choice by conference coaches this season.
Reuck was the only player from the MIAA and was just one of three
from the South Central region to earn all-American status this
season. She becomes the seventh Bulldog to earn all-American status
and the first since a trio of players - Sara Murray, Anna Sonderman
and Lauren Davis - did so following the 2004 season.
Truman finished the 2009 season with a 15-4-3 overall record and
received votes in the final top-25 coaches' poll of the season. The
Bulldogs defeated Nebraska-Omaha, 1-0, in the first round of the
NCAA tournament before falling by the same score to sub-region host
West Texas A&M in the second round.
The NSCAA All-America selections will be recognized at the annual
All-America Luncheon, held in Philadelphia, Pa., on Jan. 16 as part
of the 2010 NSCAA Convention.
