Truman's Reuck Named NSCAA All-American
Truman women's soccer player Katie Reuck has been named a third-team all-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The senior was a first-team NSCAA all-region selection and becomes the program's first all-American since 2004.

Truman Soccer Advances to NCAA Second Round
Senior Riley Mahn headed in a corner kick off the foot of fellow senior Kristin Haluszczak in the 68th minute while the Truman defense stood strong in a 1-0 Bulldog win against conference-rival Nebraska-Omaha in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday afternoon.

2009 All-MIAA Soccer Team Announced
Five players from the 2009 MIAA Champion Truman soccer team were named All-MIAA First Team to headline the all-conference team released by the league office Thursday. The selections were made by the league's nine head coaches, and coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.

Truman Soccer Perseveres to Attain Goals
One game into the season, the Truman women’s soccer team was dealt a blow that truly tested the Bulldogs. Senior forward Jessica Wiegert, who entered the season as the program’s seventh all-time goal scorer, suffered a serious knee injury. She tore her ACL and MCL.

Central Missouri Sweeps Weekly Soccer Awards
Central Missouri teammates Lindsay Hoerl and Lauren Bamvakais have been named MIAA Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Nov. 3-8 as selected by a conference SID panel. Bamvakais finishes the season with four defensive player of the week honors, and Hoerl earns her first offensive player of the week award of 2009 in the final vote of the year.

TSU, UNO Make NCAA Division II Soccer Field
MIAA soccer champion Truman and runner-up Nebraska-Omaha have earned berths in the 2009 NCAA Division II Soccer Playoffs, it was announced Monday evening. Truman drew the No. 4 seed while Omaha received the No. 5 seed, and the two MIAA foes will face each other in the first round Friday at Noon CT in Canyon, Texas, on the campus of West Texas A&M.

Truman Wins 2009 MIAA Soccer Championship
With Central Missouri’s 1-0 victory Saturday over Nebraska-Omaha, Truman is the 2009 MIAA Soccer Champion. The Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 13-2-1 record in the MIAA (14-3-3 overall) and 40 points in the league standings. Nebraska-Omaha ended at 12-2-2 in the league (13-5-2 overall) with 38 points. Central Missouri came in third at 12-3-1 (13-5-2 overall) with 37 points. Truman now has nine league soccer titles in just 11 years of MIAA soccer.

MIAA Soccer Title on the Line Saturday
It all comes down to one game for the 2009 MIAA Soccer Championship. When Nebraska-Omaha plays at Central Missouri Saturday at 2 p.m. CT, the scenarios are simple: An Omaha win gives the Mavericks the MIAA title outright; A loss or tie by the Mavericks gives the championship to Truman. In no scenario will there be a tie atop the final standings.

Ashley Juravich (Missouri Western) and Lauren Bamvakais (Central Missouri) have been named MIAA Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 26-31 as selected by a conference SID panel. It is Bamvakais' third defensive player of the week honor of the season and Juravich’s first offensive player of the week award of 2009.

Nebraska-Omaha teammates Nicole Baier and Lauren Fox have been named MIAA Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 21-24 as selected by a conference SID panel. It is Baier's fourth offensive player of the week award of the season (second in a row) and Fox's second defensive player of the week honor.

Nebraska-Omaha Has Sights Set on MIAA Title
Nebraska-Omaha’s women’s soccer team dropped its opening two games before the first feel-good moment of the 2009 season occurred. Redshirt freshman Nicole Baier scored her first goal since November of 2007 when she was playing for Marian High School in Omaha.
