Gilliland, Ommen Named Golfers of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Logan Gilliland (Missouri Western) and Erin Ommen (Nebraska-Omaha) have been named MIAA Golf Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of March 31-April 6, as selected by a conference SID panel. Gilliland and Ommen are both first-time honorees this season.

MIAA MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Logan Gilliland, So., Missouri Western
Gilliland won the individual championship at the St. Joseph Invite, recording two rounds of 73 for a total score of 146 (+4). The sophomore from Chillicothe, Mo., led Missouri Western to a second-place finish as a team.

MIAA WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Erin Ommen, Sr., Nebraska-Omaha
Ommen led Nebraska-Omaha in scoring by five strokes during the two-day Upper Iowa Spring Invitational, and posted the low round for UNO in round two with a 4-over par 76. The senior from Omaha, Neb., finished 8-over for the tournament. It was the third time in three tournaments this spring that she posted UNO's top score or tied for the top spot. Ommen finished in a tie for first overall and was declared the individual medalist.
