Miller, Limsiaco Earn Weekly MIAA Golf Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Matt Miller (Central
Missouri) and Krystal Limsiaco (Truman) have been named MIAA Golf
Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of March 24-30, as
selected by a conference SID panel. Miller and Limsiaco are both
first-time honorees this season.
MIAA MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Matt Miller, Jr., Central Missouri
Miller tied for fourth at the North Alabama Spring Classic, firing
rounds of 75 and 73. The junior from Eldon, Mo., led Central
Missouri to an eighth-place finish as a team.
MIAA WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Krystal Limsiaco, Sr., Truman
Limsiaco tied for first at the 2010 Truman Bulldog Classic, losing
in a one-hole playoff. With mid-30s temperatures and 20-25 mph
winds throughout the event, Limsiaco shot a first-round 83,
one-shot off the lead, before posting a second-round 82, also the
second lowest round of the day. The senior from The Woodlands,
Texas, has now posted a top-10 finish in all seven events she has
played in this academic year, with five top-five finishes. The
Bulldogs, as a team, have finished in the top-five six times in
eight events.
