OMAHA, Neb. -- The Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks just missed on qualifying as a team for the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship, but junior Erin Ommen will be headed there as an individual with her finish at the West Regional Wednesday (May 6) at Ironwood Golf and Country Club.

UNO carded a final-round 323 and finished with a four-player, three-round total of 976 to place fourth in the nine-team field. The top three teams in the regional and the top three individuals not on one of those teams advance to nationals.

Ommen shot her second five-over 77 of the regional and finished with an 18-over 234 for 54 holes, which will send her to nationals at Findlay, Ohio, May 13-15. She was the top individual from a non-qualifying team in the field.

Sophmore Dani Suponchick had a 245 for the Mavericks, followed by sophmore Amy Powell (246), junior Abbey Weddle (252) and freshman Rebecca Pollock (258).
