The University of Central Missouri Mules and Jennies finished third in NCAA Division II in the 2008-2009 Learfield Sports Directors Cup final standings released at the NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics) Convention in Orlando, Florida.

Pittsburg State University and Truman State University continue to rank one-two among NCAA Division II institutions at producing CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, following the completion of the 2008-09 academic year, and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association continues to lead all Division II conferences in CoSIDA Academic All-America® placement during this decade.

Nebraska-Omaha junior Erin Ommen shot a final round 80 on Saturday (May 16) to finish in the upper half of competitors in the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship at Findlay Country Club.
