Emporia State Tops Final Division II Coaches' Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – National Champion Emporia State sits atop the final USA Today/ESPN Division II Women’s Basketball Top 25 Coaches’ Poll, released Tuesday. The Lady Hornets defeated Fort Lewis, 65-53, Friday to claim their first-ever national title.

With its championship run, ESU jumped all the way from 15th to the top spot. Washburn closes the season out at No. 10, while Fort Hays State was among the “others receiving votes”.
