Washburn 88, Southwest Baptist 67
BOLIVAR, Mo. - No. 6 Washburn tied a school record with 15 three-point field goals and defeated Southwest Baptist 88-67 Tuesday night.

Amanda Fessenden led six Washburn players in double figures with her career-high 20, including six three-pointers. Dayna Rodriguez had 16 points, Laura Kinderknecht had 12, while Hope Gregory had 11 points and six rebounds. Stevi Schultz and Brette Ulsaker each had 10 points for the Lady Blues.

Chasity Prince led SBU with 12 points, while Rachel Graves and Courtney Heady had 11 and 10, respectively.

Fort Hays State 71, Central Missouri 64
WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Fort Hays State ended its two-game road swing with a 71-64 win at Central Missouri on Monday evening.

Naomi Bancroft once again led Fort Hays in scoring with 20 points. Erica Biel scored a season-high 16 points and Kayla Klug added 10 for the Tigers.

Rebecca Roberts led Central Missouri with 16 points, followed by Deidra Dace with 15 and Kara Fleming with 14.

Fort Hays State 67, Truman 60
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. -- Fort Hays State bounced back from a loss to No. 8 Washburn to defeat Truman, 67-60, on the road Saturday afternoon.

Naomi Bancroft went for 21 points for the second consecutive game to lead the Tigers. Kayla Klug had 14 points and Erica Biel was one rebound shy of a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds for FHSU.

Breanna Daniels led Truman with 15 points, followed by Laura Joya with 14 and Amy Galey with 12.

Washburn 76, Central Missouri 66
WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Brette Ulsaker scored 14 of her career-high 17 points in the second half as eighth-ranked Washburn held off Central Missouri, 76-66, Saturday afternoon at the UCM Multipurpose Building.

Ulsaker led Washburn with her career-high 17 points, including four threes. Hope Gregory recorded her second double-double of the year with 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Dayna Rodriguez added 12 points for the Lady Blues.

Ana Migueres led UCM with a game-high 19 points, while Meghan Waggoner and Rebecca Roberts had 11 and 10, respectively, for the Jennies.

Nebraska-Omaha 59, Missouri Western 51
OMAHA, Neb. - Nebraska-Omaha led nearly the entire game, including all of the second half, and defeated Missouri Western, 59-51 Saturday afternoon at Sapp Fieldhouse.

Alyssa Green led UNO with 15 points and Heather Pohl added 12. Pohl and Jessica Zaruba were each just shy of double-doubles. Pohl had nine rebounds while Zaruba led UNO with 10 rebounds and she had nine points.

Lauren Nolke led the Griffons with 16 points after a 4-of-6 performance from 3-point range.

Arkansas Tech 98, Northwest Missouri 73
MARYVILLE, Mo. -- Jenny Vining's game-high 22 points led five Arkansas Tech players in double figures as the 24th-ranked Golden Suns moved to 12-0 following a 98-73 win against Northwest Missouri State Saturday at Bearcat Arena.

Northwest got a team-high 18 points from Abby Henry and 12 from Gabby Curtis. The Bearcats shot 44 percent from the field, but their 35 turnovers led to 40 points by Arkansas Tech.

Emporia State 76, Southwest Baptist 57
BOLIVAR, Mo. - No. 9 Emporia State scored 50 second half points on .581 shooting en route to a 76-57 win at Southwest Baptist on Saturday night. Alli Volkens led all scorers with 20 points for ESU with 18 coming in the second half.

Cassondra Boston scored 16 points for the Hornets with a team-high four assists as she moved past Judy Becker for 11th in career scoring at ESU with 1,396 points. Negesti Taylor and Jamie Augustyn each scored 11 points, while Brittney Miller had her first double-double of the year with 10 points and 10 boards.

Rachel Graves led SBU with 14 points, while Chasity Prince and Ashleigh Gallio added 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Pittsburg State 67, Missouri Southern 66
PITTSBURG, Kan. -- Pittsburg State stretched its home winning streak to five games with a 67-66 win over rival Missouri Southern Saturday at John Lance Arena.

DePrice Taylor led three Gorillas in double figures with 17 points. Laura Glenn added 13, while Nicole McCombs scored 12. Glenn led the team on the glass with six rebounds.

The Lions were led by Jasmine Lovejoy with 15 points. Erin Rice, Jolea Apon and LaTice Jones each added 10 for MSSU. Rice and Danielle Harris each grabbed six rebounds.

Emporia State 76, Nebraska-Omaha 42
OMAHA, Neb. - No. 9 Emporia State used a 16-0 run in the first half to take control in a 76-42 win at Neb.-Omaha on New Year's Eve. Cassondra Boston led all scorers with 22 points as she moved past Casey Henningsen into 12th place in career scoring at ESU.

Sophia Lenard and Alli Volkens joined Boston in double figures as nine of ten Lady Hornets scored.

Jessica Zaruba scored eight points to lead the Mavericks.

Southwest Baptist 77, Truman 73
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. -- Down ten points in the second half on the road, Southwest Baptist rallied to win its first MIAA game of the season, taking a 77-73 victory at Truman.

Courtney Heady led the Bearcats with 18 points, including five treys as SBU had season highs in field goal percentage, threes made and three-point percentage.

Breanna Daniels led the Bulldogs with 21 points.

Missouri Western 78, Missouri Southern 62
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Led by several key runs in the first half, Missouri Western pulled away from Missouri Southern early and never looked back in a 78-62 win.

Jessica Koch led Western with a career-high 24 points. She added a season-high nine rebounds as well. Brittany Casady contributed 14 points, a new career-high, and Lauren Nolke dished out a career-high seven assists for the Griffons.

Jasmine Lovejoy had a team-high 15 for Southern, while Erin Rice added 13 for the Lions, one shy of her career-high.

Washburn 57, Fort Hays State 47
HAYS, Kan. -- No. 8 Washburn won its 14th straight game over Fort Hays State with a 57-47 win over the Tigers at Gross Memorial Coliseum.

Hope Gregory, Rose Hammond and Amanda Fessenden each had 12 points to pace the Washburn attack. Dayna Rodriguez had nine points and Brette Ulsaker had eight for the Lady Blues.

Naomi Bancroft finished with 21 points on 7-of-19 shooting, including 5-of-16 from 3-point range, to lead Fort Hays State. Erica Biel also reached double digits for the Tigers with 10 points.

Pittsburg State 79, Northwest Missouri 68
MARYVILLE, Mo. -- Pittsburg State improved to 4-1 in conference action and evened its record at 6-6 with a 79-68 win over Northwest Missouri Wednesday evening.

Nicole McCombs led Pitt State with 20 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Bailey Waugh added 17 points and was a perfect 5-for-5 from three-point range, while DePrice Taylor added 16 points (10 in the second half) for the Gorillas.

Four Northwest players scored in double figures, led by Abby Henry with 17 points. Gabby Curtis had 11, while Gentry Dietz and Shelly Martin each added 10 for the Bearcats.

Washburn 69, Missouri Western 50

TOPEKA, Kan. -- A 16-6 run to close out the first half gave eighth-ranked Washburn some breathing room as it pulled away for a 69-50 win over Missouri Western on Monday night at Lee Arena.

Dayna Rodriguez led Washburn with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Stevi Schultz chipped in 11. Chasity Workman added seven rebounds to go along with four points for the Lady Blues.

Jessica Koch led Missouri Western with 18 points.

Pittsburg State 67, Central Missouri 62
PITTSBURG, Kan. -- Pittsburg State kept its home record spotless, while moving to 3-1 in MIAA play with a 67-62 win over Central Missouri Monday night at John Lance Arena.

Pitt State was led by Nicole McCombs with 19 points. DePrice Taylor recorded her second double-double of the season with 11 points and a team-high 11 rebounds and also led the team with six assists on the night. Drew Roberts added 11 points for the Gorillas.

Danielle Shows had a season-high 22 points and grabbed 10 boards to lead Central Missouri. Also with a double-double for the Jennies was Ana Migueres, who recorded 15 points and a season-high 11 rebounds.

Emporia State 75, Truman 55
EMPORIA, Kan. - No. 9 Emporia State used a 17-4 run to close out the first half on the way to a 75-55 win over Truman on Monday night in White Auditorium.

Cassondra Boston led four Lady Hornets in double figures with 17 points. Brittney Miller scored 14 points, Sophia Lenard had 12 off the bench and Rachel Hanf added 10 points.

Sarah Seberger, Laura Joya, Jennifer Conway and Jenny Dorman all scored eight points to lead Truman.

Missouri Southern 62, Southwest Baptist 61
JOPLIN, Mo. - With Missouri Southern trailing by one, Jasmine Lovejoy stepped to the free-throw line and hit two game-winning free throws to propel the Lions to a dramatic 62-61 over Southwest Baptist Monday night at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center. 

Lovejoy tallied a game-high 23 points and nine rebounds to lead Southern. She made 11-of-14 from the foul line, including the two crucial shots at the end. Jolea Apon reached double-figures with 11 points and led the Lions with five assists.

Rachel Graves led SBU with 13 points and Courtney Heady added 10. Jasmine Sanford scored eight points and recorded a team-high eight boards for the Bearcats.
