Fort Hays State 76, Northwest Missouri 66
HAYS, Kan. (FHSU Sports Information) -- Fort Hays State stayed
unbeaten at home with a 76-66 win over Northwest Missouri Wednesday
evening at Gross Memorial Coliseum, improving to 7-1 overall and
1-1 in the MIAA. Fort Hays State went on a 9-0 run in the final
2:14 of the game to even up its conference record.
Naomi Bancroft finished with a team-high 22 points for the Lady Tigers, shooting 7-of-17 from the field and 4-of-11 from beyond the 3-point line. She was a perfect 4-of-4 at the free-throw line. Kayla Klug finished with 16 points with a 6-of-8 shooting night, 2-of-2 beyond the 3-point line, and 2-of-2 at the free-throw line. Whitney Taylor also reached double figures with 10. Erica Biel pulled down a team-high nine rebounds.
Gentry Dietz was the go-to player for Northwest Missouri State with 28 points and 12 rebounds. She had 20 points and nine rebounds by halftime. Gabby Curtis (12) and Shelly Martin (10) also reached double figures in scoring for the Bearcats. Northwest Missouri State dropped to 5-4 overall and 1-2 in the MIAA with the loss.
Truman 69, Illinois-Springfield 62
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. (TSU Media Relations) - The Truman women's
basketball team scored the game's final seven points and had three
players in double-figures, as the Bulldogs held off an upstart
Illinois-Springfield squad, 69-62, on Wednesday night in Pershing
Arena.
Sophomore Breanna Daniels led all Bulldogs with 16 points, while senior Julie Guinn came off the bench to score 13 points and pull down a career-high nine rebounds. Junior guard Amy Galey added 11 points and six assists to spearhead the Truman (5-3) offense.
Missouri Southern 73, Missouri S&T 68
Rolla, Mo. (MSSU Sports Information) - Jasmine Lovejoy produced a
career-high 25 points to lead the Missouri Southern Lions to a road
win at the Missouri S&T Lady Miners, 73-68 in a non-conference
matchup Wednesday night (Dec. 8).
Lovejoy's 25 points came on 8-of-16 shooting from the field and a career-best 9-of-11 from the foul line. LaTice Jones also tallied a career-high 14 points on a career-best 6-of-10 from the floor. Lovejoy and Jolea Apon each led the Lions with four assists.

Georgetown 82, Southwest Baptist 41
WASHINGTON, D.C. (SBU Media Relations) -- A cold
start doomed SBU on the road at Division I Georgetown, as the
Bearcats were doubled up 82-41 by the Hoyas. Courtney Heady led the
Bearcats with 14 points while Jasmine Sanford had 10 points and
three steals. Sanford and Mia Gilreath led with five rebounds each.
