ESU, MWSU and UNO Earn Regional Bids

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Emporia State will be the No. 3 seed in South Central Regional No. 1, while Nebraska Omaha and Missouri Western will be the second and third seeds, respectively, in South Central Regional No. 2, the NCAA Division II Softball Committee announced Monday.

ESU, MWSU and UNO shared the MIAA regular season championship this season with 18-4 league records, while UNO also claimed the conference tournament title this past weekend.

Emporia State will take on No. 2 seed Angelo State Friday (May 13) at 2:30 p.m. in Game 2 of the first regional, hosted by Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Nebraska Omaha and Missouri Western will face off Friday at 7 p.m. in Game 2 of of the second regional, hosted by West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas.
