Campbell Headlines All-Region Softball Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Emporia State senior third baseman Miranda Campbell was named the 2010 Daktronics Softball South Central Region Player of the Year to headline the All-South Central Region team, released Wednesday.

Campbell, the 2010 MIAA Player of the Year, finished the season with a .490 batting average, 14 home runs and 69 RBIs. The Bogata, Texas, native led Emporia State to a share of the 2010 MIAA regular season championship as well as 2010 MIAA tournament championship. Campbell was also an All-South Central Region first team selection.
 
Nebraska-Omaha's Beth Haley, the 2010 MIAA Pitcher of the Year, was also an All-South Central Region first team honoree, along with Northwest Missouri designated player Erin Leslie and Nebraska-Omaha utility player Lindsey Slocum.
