Nebraska-Omaha claims its first-ever MIAA Softball Championship, regular season or tournament.

ESU, UNO Share MIAA Softball Championship
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – With Emporia State's sweep of Southwest Baptist Tuesday, ESU and Nebraska-Omaha end the season as 2010 MIAA softball regular season co-champions with 18-2 records in conference play. Emporia State defeated Nebraska-Omaha both times in league play this year and will hold the No. 1 seed at the MIAA Softball Championship Tournament. UNO will be the No. 2 seed.
Emporia State's regular season crown is its fifth in the
last six seasons and sixth overall. The Lady Hornets also own six
MIAA tournament titles, each of the last six years.
