Central Missouri Claims MIAA Men's XC Title
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Laban Sialo took home the individual crown to lead Central Missouri to the 2011 MIAA Men's Cross Country Championship Saturday at the MSSU Cross Country Course in Joplin, Mo.
Sialo ran an 8K time of 23:17.88, defeating runner-up Adam Volkert (23:43.27) to win the individual crown.
Central Missouri finished with a team score of 53, besting runner-up Northwest Missouri (73) by 20 points. Missouri Southern placed third with 74 points, Pittsburg State finished fourth with 80 points, Southwest Baptist took fifth with 111 points, Fort Hays State finished sixth with 151 points, and Emporia State and Truman tied for seventh place with 191 points.
