Shank, Walls Tabbed MIAA Runners of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Joey Walls (Truman) and Kimi Shank (Missouri Southern) have been selected MIAA Cross Country Runners of the Week for the week of Sept. 4-5 as selected by a conference SID panel.
 
MIAA MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Joey Walls, So., Truman
Walls led a pack of four Bulldog runners across the line first at the Miner Invitational on Saturday.  It was his first career win as a collegiate runner.
 
MIAA WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Kimi Shank, Sr., Missouri Southern
Shank finished second over the 4K course at the Arkansas Dual, just two seconds behind the leader. Shank ran the 4K course in a time of 14:03.9, a full 13 seconds faster than a year ago.  She and Southern fell just one place shy of an upset of Division I powerhouse Arkansas.
