Schuler, Frizzell Earn Weekly Men's T&F Awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Josh Schuler (Emporia State) and Drew Frizzell (Central Missouri) have been named MIAA Men's Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of April 18-24, as selected by a conference SID panel.

MIAA MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Josh Schuler, Sr., Emporia State
Schuler posted provisional marks in the 100 meters (10.47) and 400-meter relay (40.41) at the Kansas Relays. He won the 100-meter dash, edging Lincoln's Ravel Grey in the finals after getting nipped by Grey in the prelims. ESU was awarded top spot after prelims of the 400-meter relay after the Hornets and Lincoln were in a virtual dead heat in the prelims. Schuler and co. ran a season-best 40.41 in the prelims, which is the second-best time in ESU history and ranks eighth in the nation.

MIAA MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Drew Frizzell, Sr., Central Missouri
Frizzell's hammer throw (220'04") fell just a half-foot short of his school record mark, set in the previous week. It was enough to win the event at the Mule Relays, and he added two more wins with his best shot put of the year (56'08"), and a good discus throw (168'10"). The shot put mark ranks as the second-best in the MIAA this season.
