The MIAA had two more All-Americans in the women’s heptathlon as Central Missouri’s Lindsay Lettow took fourth and Nebraska-Omaha’s Shannon Moore finished fifth.
Northwest Missouri’s Kate Walter and Missouri Southern’s Emilie Meisler are All-Americans in the women’s hammer throw after placing third and seventh, respectfully.
Central Missouri’s Drew Frizzell earned All-America honors in the men’s hammer throw with a third-place finish, and Pittsburg State’s Brian Allen is an All-American as well after placing sixth. Frizzell also finished fourth in the men’s shot put to become a two-time All-American this outdoor season. Northwest Missouri’s Ben McKim placed seventh to take home All-America accolades as well.
In the women’s 10,000 meters, Missouri Southern’s Kimi Shank and Truman’s Dani Dell’Orco earned All-America status with fourth and fifth-place finishes, respectfully.
Missouri Southern’s Ciara Lipsey earned All-America honors in the women’s pole vault after finishing seventh, and Pittsburg State’s Mike Beeler was the runner-up in the men’s javelin to round out All-Americans from the MIAA through Saturday morning.

Walker Wins Decathlon National Championship
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Missouri’s Darius Walker won the national championship in the decathlon to highlight MIAA performances thus far at the 2010 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Irwin Belk Complex in Charlotte, N.C., hosted by Johnson C. Smith University.
Walker finished with a total score of 7,222 points to win the
title. Central Missouri teammate Brent Vogel finished third and
Emporia State’s Craig Saalfield placed seventh in the
decathlon to also earn All-America honors.
