The Pittsburg State men are the No. 1-ranked team in the South Central Region, while the Missouri Southern women are No. 3 in the region.
The 2010 MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships begin Saturday with the men’s hammer throw at 11 a.m. Saturday’s track events are set to begin at 4 p.m. with the prelims of the women’s 100-meter hurdles.

2010 MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships Schedule
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – MIAA track & field takes the stage Saturday and Sunday at the 2010 MIAA Outdoor Championships, hosted by Pittsburg State University at Prentice Gudgen Track in Pittsburg, Kan.
Three MIAA men’s teams and four women’s teams are
ranked in the USTFCCCA NCAA Division II National Team Rankings
heading into the outdoor conference meet. On the men’s side,
Pittsburg State is No. 4 in the country, Central Missouri is No. 11
and Emporia State is No. 22. For the women, Missouri Southern is
eighth in the country, Nebraska-Omaha is No. 15, Central Missouri
is No. 20 and Pittsburg State is No. 21.

women’s discus, while the track events get underway at 1:30
