Truman Sweeps Weekly Tennis Awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Truman's Eric McCollough and Kelsey Kuykendall have been named MIAA Tennis Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of April 12-18, as selected by a conference SID panel. McCollough and Kuykendall are both first-time honorees this season.
 
MIAA MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Eric McCollough, So., Truman
McCollough posted a 2-1 record and a 3-0 doubles mark as Truman moved above .500 in overall matches this season. The sophomore from St. Charles, Mo., is second on the team with a 19-8 overall record and is 9-3 in singles play at number four. McCollough got the Bulldogs' only win against No. 21 Northwest at number three doubles with a 9-8 (7-5) win, and is 6-3 in doubles action with partner Mark Sturley.

MIAA WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kelsey Kuykendall, Jr., Truman
Kuykendall leads Truman with a 19-4 record and is 9-2 since having to move up to No. 3 singles due to injury. The junior from Oronogo, Mo., is 13-2 in singles matches this spring. Kuykendall is 9-5 in doubles matches, with a 7-5 mark in dual match doubles (No. 2).
