MIAA to Retain Membership at 12 Institutions
The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association's governing bodies have voted to retain the conference's membership at 12 schools.

The University of Central Missouri Mules and Jennies finished third in NCAA Division II in the 2008-2009 Learfield Sports Directors Cup final standings released at the NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics) Convention in Orlando, Florida.

PSU, TSU Tops on Academic All-America® List
Pittsburg State University and Truman State University continue to rank one-two among NCAA Division II institutions at producing CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, following the completion of the 2008-09 academic year, and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association continues to lead all Division II conferences in CoSIDA Academic All-America® placement during this decade.

Two MIAA student-athletes were selected to the ESPN The Magazine College Division Men's At-Large Academic All-America Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), which was released Tuesday (June 9).

Good Resigns as SBU's Director of Athletics
Brent Good, who has been the director of athletics at Southwest Baptist University since April of 2005, will resign from the position effective July 2, it was announced Monday (June 8).
