UCM Ties for Third at NCAA Golf Championships

FLORENCE, Ala. (UCM Media Relations) -- Central Missouri fell 3-2 to Lynn in the semifinal round of Match Play on Thursday at the 2011 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship.

The Mules will finish tied for third in the event after advancing earlier in the day with a 3-2 quarterfinal round match victory over Central Oklahoma at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at The Shoals.

UCM finished the three-round team play Wednesday with a four-over-par 292, its best score of the event, and in fifth place in the team standings.

Zack Van Dolah fell just short of an individual national title, but earns All-America honors with a tie for third place after a 54-hole score of three-under-par 213. Matt Miller also earns All-America honors with a tie for 11th place, posting a three-round score of two-over-par 218.
