UCM Seventh After First Round of NCAAs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Missouri shot an opening round score of 311 (+23) and sits in seventh place at the 2010 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championship at Sagamore Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind.

Justin Yoder, the MIAA Player of the Year and regional champion, led the Mules with a 73 (+1) and is in a four-way tie for second place after one round. Yoder is just one off the lead held by Ben Vertz of Nova Southeastern (72, E).

Central Missouri is 12 strokes behind tournament leader Nova Southeastern, and just eight shots behind second-place Florida Southern.
