Central Missouri Wins Regional Golf Championship

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Missouri carded a final-round team score of 304 Wednesday at the 2010 NCAA Men's Golf Midwest/South Central Regional to rally from six shots down and claim its first-ever regional title by one stroke over Wayne State at The Territory Golf Club in Duncan, Okla.

Justin Yoder also won the first individual regional championship in Central Missouri history, firing a final-round 73 (+1) to win by one over Abilene Christian's Cyril Bouniol. Yoder put together a three-round score of 219 (+3) to earn the title.

Southwest Baptist's Brad Nipper, competing at the regional as an individual, finished in a tie for fourth place with a total of 222 (+6). Washburn's Dustin Yeager, also playing as an individual, record a three-day total of 229 (+13) to finish tied for 31st.

Zack Van Dolah also finished in the top 25 individually for Central Missouri, posting a final-round 75 to finish at 228 (+12) and tied for 25th.

With the regional championship in the bag, Central Missouri now moves on to the 2010 NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship, to be played May 18-21 at Sagamore Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind.
