The No. 23 ranked Missouri Southern men's basketball team fell behind by three at the half and a 9-0 run from No. 9 Tarleton State early in the second half broke open the game as the Lions' season ended today with a 69-52 loss in the first round of the NCAA Division II Tournament.

The MIAA has issued a public reprimand of Truman State men's basketball head coach Matt Woodley. “Coach Woodley’s post game comments to the media, that were critical of the game officials and the MIAA officiating program were in clear violation of our championship code," stated Commissioner Dr. Bob Boerigter.
