Southwest Baptist 73, Washburn 62
BOLIVAR, Mo. -- Eleventh-ranked Southwest Baptist had only one miss in 25 attempts on the night from the free throw line, helping the Bearcats to a 73-62 victory over Washburn Tuesday night.

Tristan Steele led SBU with 21 points, while Matt Rogers had 18 and Kurt Koenig added 14 points. Koenig also led the Bearcats with nine rebounds.

De'Andre Washington led Washburn with 22 points and eight rebounds.

Fort Hays State 81, Central Missouri 71
WARRENSBURG, Mo. - No. 13 Fort Hays State pulled off its first ever upset of a No. 1-ranked team in its NCAA Division II history by defeating the Central Missouri, 81-71, Monday night. It was the first loss of the season for the Mules and snapped their 27-game home court win streak.

Fort Hays State was led by a 28-point, 7-assist effort from Dominique Jones. Ken Bowman had 16 points and finished with a team-high eight rebounds, and Willie Hassell scored all 14 of his points in the second half. Corbin Kuntzsch added 13 points for the Tigers.

Sanijay Watts led Central Missouri with a double-double, scoring 23 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Tremaine Luellen finished with 14 points, and Ryan Harris added 11 for the Mules.

Fort Hays State 71, Truman 47
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. -- No. 13 Fort Hays State used its stingy defense to hold Truman to just 30 percent shooting in a 71-47 victory on Saturday afternoon in Pershing Arena. 

Dominique Jones came off the bench to lead the Tigers with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting while Corbin Kuntzsch added 14 with seven coming from the foul line.

Vesko Filchev led the Bulldogs with 10 points and added seven rebounds.

Central Missouri 77, Washburn 71
WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- No. 1 Central Missouri pulled away in the final five minutes to post a 77-71 win against Washburn in the first game of 2010. The win extended UCM's home-court winning streak to 27 games.

Sanijay Watts set a career-high with 14 rebounds to go with his 28 points in the contest to lead the Mules, and Alex Moosmann tallied 20 points while dishing out eight assists and no turnovers.

De'Andre Washington led Washburn with 26 points, his second-best output of the season, with 12 rebounds while tying a career-high with six assists playing 39 minutes.

Nebraska-Omaha 82, Missouri Western 62
OMAHA, Neb. - Jeff Martin's fourth straight 3-pointer tied the score at 28-28 with 3:12 remaining in the first half and Nebraska-Omaha never looked back en route to an 82-62 win over Missouri Western Saturday at Sapp Fieldhouse.

Martin ended up 6-for-11 from the field, all from long distance, to lead UNO with 20 points. Dion Curry was 6-for-7 from the field for 15 points and Tyler Bullock added 11.

Marcus Rhodes led Missouri Western with 14 points.

Northwest Missouri 75, Cameron 52
MARYVILLE, Mo. -- Northwest Missouri State jumped out to a 14-0 lead and held Cameron to 31 percent shooting in a 75-52 win Saturday at Bearcat Arena. Bearcat forward Elijah Allen led all scorers with 23 points.

Girod Adams added 10 points for Northwest, Edriss Floyd scored 12 points and DeShaun Cooper made it four Northwest players scoring in double digits with 10 points, and he also handed out six assists for the Bearcats.

Pittsburg State 67, Missouri Southern 65
PITTSBURG, Kan. -- Rodney Grace tipped in an errant shot with less than a second to play, beating the final buzzer and lifting Pittsburg State to a 67-65 victory over Missouri Southern before a crowd of 2,814 fans Saturday at John Lance Arena.

Spencer Magana scored a game-high 18 points for Pitt State, including 12 in the second half. JaVon McGee logged his second double-double of the season, contributing 13 points and a game-high 15 rebounds for the Gorillas. Grace, who battled foul trouble all night, finished with 13 points and seven rebounds.

For Southern, Jason Adams had a team-leading 17 points despite converting just six-of-20 shots from the field. He added seven rebounds for the Lions.

Southwest Baptist 75, Emporia State 62
BOLIVAR, Mo. - Southwest Baptist pulled away down the stretch to top Emporia State, 75-62. The win was the 37th straight at home for the Bearcats, the second longest streak in Division II behind Findlay.

Tomas Brock led the Bearcats with 18 points, one of four SBU players in double digits. Kurt Koenig had 17 points, Matt Rogers had 14 and Ryan Dougherty had 12. Tristan Steele had 10 rebounds to lead the 'Cats.

Adam Holthaus led the Hornets with 20 points while Lamar Wilbern added 15 points.

Nebraska-Omaha 83, Emporia State 72
OMAHA, Neb. - Nebraska-Omaha led nearly the entire game but never built a double-digit lead until the final five minutes to pull away in an 83-72 win over Emporia State Thursday afternoon at Sapp Fieldhouse.

Nebraska-Omaha had five players in double figures with Andrew Bridger leading the way with 18 points. Jeff Martin went 6-of-10 from the field for 15 points and Tyler Bullock was 5-of-9 for 15 as well. Dion Curry added 13 points and Matt Newman contributed 11 points.

Newman added a team-high 11 points for a double-double, his third in the last five games.

Adam Holthaus had a career-high 27 points on 13-of-19 shooting to lead Emporia State. Lamar Wilbern was the only other Hornet in double figures, finishing with 18 points before fouling out with 7:06 left in the game.

Missouri Western 89, Missouri Southern 84
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Faced with an early 14-point deficit midway through the first half, Missouri Western battled back to defeat Missouri Southern, 89-84.

Six Griffons reached double figures on the night, led by Justin Taylor's 18 points.

Jason Adams led the Lions with 34 points on six-of-11 shooting from behind the arc and four-for-four from the line.

Fort Hays State 68, Washburn 55
HAYS, Kan. -- Fort Hays State never trailed and defeated Washburn, 68-55, to move to 4-0 in conference play and 10-1 overall.

Dominique Jones finished with a team-high 21 points for Fort Hays State. Ken Bowman recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Corbin Kuntzsch also reached double figures in scoring with 11 points for the Tigers.

De'Andre Washington and Nate Wallace combined for 60 percent of the Washburn point production. Washington had 18 points and Wallace had 15.

Northwest Missouri 73, Pittsburg State 65
MARYVILLE, Mo. -- Northwest Missouri guard Girod Adams scored more than 20 points for the third game in a row, totaling 22 in a 73-65 win against Pittsburg State Wednesday at Bearcat Arena.

Adams added season highs of seven rebounds and seven assists. He was 4-of-8 from behind the arc. Elijah Allen tied his career high with five steals to go with 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting for Northwest, and Edriss Floyd added 12 points off the Bearcat bench.

Pitt State's Spencer Magana led all scorers with 23 points, and Rodney Grace added 16 for the Gorillas. JaVon McGee had a double-double for PSU 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Southwest Baptist 70, Truman 62
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. -- Eleventh-ranked Southwest Baptist returned from a two-and-a-half week layoff and picked up a tough road win at Truman, winning 70-62 Wednesday night. All-American Matt Rogers led the Bearcats with 29 points and nine rebounds.

Kurt Koenig had 17 points and seven boards for the Bearcats and Ryan Dougherty contributed four assists and two steals.

Ethan Freeman led Truman with a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 17 rebounds.

Central Missouri 83, Pittsburg State 60
PITTSBURG, Kan. -- Sanijay Watts scored a game-high 24 points to lead unbeaten and top-ranked Central Missouri to an 83-60 victory over Pittsburg State Monday night at John Lance Arena.

Watts finished the game with a double-double, adding a game-high 10 rebounds to his 24-point scoring effort. Ryan Harris chipped in with 18 points for the Mules, while Alex Moosmann and Bryce Brunz added 13 apiece.

JaVon McGee led the Gorillas with 18 points and nine rebounds, a season-high scoring effort for the freshman. Rodney Grace (15) and Spencer Magana (11) also scored in double figures for Pitt State.

Emporia State 92, Truman 84
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. -- In a game that was a tale of two halves, Emporia State outlasted Truman 92-84 in White Auditorium on Monday night. The Hornets led 48-27 at the half and by as many as 27 early in the second half before the Bulldogs hit eight three pointers in the final 16:44 of the game.

Tim Niles led four Hornets in double figures with 23 points, with 15 coming in the second half. Adam Holthaus had 19 and Taylor Euler scored 18 off the bench. Lamar Wilbern scored 13 in his first action after missing four games with a knee injury.

Truman's Alex Henderson finished with five three-pointers and a career-high 21 points while also dishing out six assists.  Tom Norton added 13 points and Matt Taylor scored a career high 12 coming off the bench for the Bulldogs.

Missouri Western 75, Washburn 69, OT
TOPEKA, Kan. - Washburn rallied from an eight-point deficit with 1:34 to go in regulation to send the game to an extra period on a 3-pointer by De'Andre Washington with 0.7 seconds to go but fell in overtime after Missouri Western used a 12-0 run in the overtime period leading to a 75-69 Griffon win.

Marcus Rhodes led Missouri Western with 17 points, Dominique Thuston had 15 and James Bush recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Griffons.

Washington finished with his third straight double-double with career highs of 33 points and 14 rebounds to lead Washburn.
