MIAA Football Week Nine Recaps
Washburn 45, Fort Hays State 20
TOPEKA, Kan. (WU Sports Information) -- The No. 12-ranked
Washburn Ichabods turned up 620 yards of total offense improving to
8-1 on the season and 6-1 in the MIAA with a 45-20 win over Fort
Hays State. The Ichabods will travel to Pittsburg State next week
to face the Gorillas at 2 p.m.

Missouri Western 31, Southwest Baptist 24
BOLIVAR, Mo. (MWSU Sports Information) -- It wasn't
pretty, but Missouri Western football has now won five straight
games, after a 31-24 win against Southwest Baptist Saturday
afternoon in Bolivar. Western improved to 7-2 overall and 5-2 in
conference play.

Northwest Missouri 52, Missouri Southern

JOPLIN, Mo. (MSSU Sports Information) -- The Missouri
Southern football team got to within three points (24-21) late in
the third quarter, but fourth ranked Northwest Missouri scored 28
unanswered points and defeated the Lions 52-21 on Senior Day at
Fred G. Hughes Stadium.

Emporia State 52, Truman 18
EMPORIA, Kan. (ESU Media Relations) -- The Hornet football team
put together back to back 50 point games for the first time since
1998 with a 52-18 win over Truman on Saturday at Welch Stadium.
Tyler Eckenrode went 19 of 28 for 194 yards and two touchdowns as
ESU rolled up 436 yards of total offense on the day.

Central Missouri 49, Lincoln 6
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (LU Media Relations) -- Central Missouri
scored 14 points in each of the first three quarters and held
Lincoln to just two field goals as the Mules defeated the Blue
Tigers, 49-6, in Lincoln's final home game of the season on
Saturday (Oct. 29).
