MIAA Lands Four in USA Today Preseason Top 25
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Four MIAA schools are
ranked in the top 25 of the USA Today Preseason Division II
football poll, which was released today as part of its College
Football Preview Magazine.
Defending national champion Northwest Missouri will begin the 2010
season where it left off in 2009, at No. 1. The Bearcats begin
their season Sept. 2 when they host Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Washburn joins Northwest in the top 10, coming in at No. 9. The
Ichabods kick off their 2010 campaign Aug. 28 at Colorado
Mines.
Missouri Western was voted No. 16, while Nebraska-Omaha will begin
the year at No. 21. Western plays at home to start the season,
Sept. 2 against Mesa State, while Omaha will play host to
Nebraska-Kearney Sept. 4 to begin the year.
