CORAL SPRINGS. Fla. - The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced
its 2019-2020 All-American teams with Central Oklahoma’s
Susana Olivares being tabbed with first-team accolades.
Olivares played in seven tournaments this season, which was cut short due to the global health crisis, with an average score of 72.86. She had a low round of 68, firing a 3-under-par in the second round of the UCO Classic in September and propelled herself to medalist honors. She followed that performance the following week with another victory at the UCM Classic as she fired a second round in the 60s and recorded a 1-under 69.
Olivares finished second in the Arkansas Tech Invitational and also finish second in the final tournament of the season, Southern Nazarene's Diffee Ford Lincoln Classic. She had a pair of fourth-place showings as well to finish fourth or better in six of the season’s seven tournaments.
On Monday, the WGCA announced its All-Central Region teams. Olivares was joined on the All-Region team by Mariana Flores of Rogers State, Allycia Gan of Missouri Western, Aitana Hernandez of Northeastern State, and Rosie Klausner and Olivia Sobaski of Central Missouri.
