KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The MIAA has announced its 2018-19 All-MIAA Bowling Teams and Awards. McKendree swept this season's awards as it took the Bowler of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Coach of the Year.
Breanna Clemmer was named the Bowler of the Year for the association. She averaged a 211.52 on the season and record a season-best game score of 268 against Arkansas State and Sam Houston State. Clemmer was also named MIAA Bowler of the Week two times during the regular season. It is the second time in three seasons she has been voted MIAA Bowler of the Year.
The Freshman of the Year award was given to Hope Gramly. On the season, she averaged 202.71 and had a season-best 249 game against Lincoln. Gramly was tabbed as the MIAA Bowler of the Week on March 7 after winning the Big Red Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Shannon O’Keefe was voted by her peers as the Coach of the Year for the third consecutive season. She has led McKendree to be ranked No. 2 nationally in the NTCA Coaches Poll with a record of 79-33 on the season. The Bearcats won team titles at the Track Kat Clash in Houston, Texas, Warhawk Invitational in Kenosha, Wisconsin and Big Red Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska.
