Bracket, Pairings Set For 2019 MIAA Women’s Soccer Championship

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The MIAA announced the bracket and pairings for the 2019 MIAA Women’s Soccer Championship. The official bracket is available here.

Central Missouri (16-1-1) earned the top seed for the 2019 championship with 31 conference points. The regular-season champion, Jennies, will host eighth-seeded Washburn (7-9-1) on Friday, November 8 at 6 p.m. in Warrensburg, Missouri. The Ichabods finished the season with 10 points and won a head-to-head tiebreaker for the final spot in the championship field.

The second seed went to Northeastern State (13-4-1) who finished with 24 conference points. The RiverHawks will host Newman (7-5-6) on Friday, November 8 at 6 p.m. in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The Jets qualified for the championship in their first year in the MIAA with 13 conference points.

Emporia State (12-4-2) secured the third seed with 23 conference points and will play Northwest Missouri. The Hornets and Bearcats are set for a 2 p.m. game in Emporia, Kansas on Friday, November 8. NW made the conference field for the first time since 2012 after it finished with 14 conference points. 

The fourth seed was achieved by Central Oklahoma with 21 points. The Bronchos will host fifth seed Fort Hays State on Friday, November 8 at 7 p.m. in Edmond, Oklahoma. FHSU had 20 conference points and is making its sixth consecutive trip to the MIAA Championship.

All quarterfinal matches will be available on The MIAA Network free-to-view. Winner’s of the quarterfinals on Friday, November 8 advance the semifinal matches on Friday, November 15. The site of the semifinal and championship matches will be played at the highest remaining seed after the quarterfinals.
