Kansas City, Mo. - The 2018 MIAA Golf Champions were crowned on Wednesday, April 25. The Men’s championship was claimed by Lindenwood at Sycamore Ridge Golf Course in Spring Hill, Kansas. Northeastern State won the Women’s title at Swope Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City, Missouri.
LWU won the title with a three-round score of 866. The Lions’ Markus Lindgren won the individual championship with a 212. NSU carded a three day total of 957 for the win. Missouri Western’s Shi Qing Ong took the individual honors with a score of 226.
Lindenwood and Northeastern both earn the MIAA’s automatic bid for the NCAA Super Regional and NCAA Central Regional. The field for the Men’s Super Regional will be announced on Friday, April 28. Teams qualifying for the Women’s Central Regional will be released on Monday, April 30.
