Kansas City, Mo. – Central Missouri won their third straight MIAA Women’s Soccer Tournament with their 7-0 win over Central Oklahoma today in Warrensburg.
The Jennies got on the board just 54 seconds into the game as Courtney Killian took an assist from Hannah Pyle for her four goal of the season. Pyle would then get a goal of her own in the 20
th minute, which was her eighth of the season.
Central Missouri would then force an own goal in the 28
th minute of the game as a corner kick was deflected into the goal. Just 46 seconds later UCM would get another goal as Jada Scott scored her 15
th of the season.
In the 38
th minute Mikala Modiri took a pass from Kelsey Mueller to make it a 5-0 advantage heading into the half. In the 48
th minute Megan Woolley scored her seventh goal of the season to give the Jennies a 6-0 lead.
Pyle netted her second goal of the game in the 88
th minute as she scored her ninth of the year to close out the 7-0 victory. Between the pipes Ana Dilkes earned her third shutout victory of the tournament making six saves on the day.
Central Missouri earns the league’s automatic bid into the NCAA Division II National Championship with all other teams waiting for the announcement of the field at 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7 at ncaa.com.
