Hays, Kan. – Second seeded Fort Hays State advanced on 5-3 on penalty kicks after playing 110 minutes of scoreless soccer in the MIAA Women’s Soccer Tournament.
 
For the Tigers Silvana Romero, Dani harris, Hannah Smith, Darby Hirsch and Thalya Dwyer all hit their shots during the shootout to advance to the semifinals. In goal for the Tigers Abbie Flax had five saves facing 10 shots on the night. In goal for the Griffons Lexie Martin made four saves and faced 12 shots.
 
Fort Hays State will now face third seeded Central Oklahoma in the semifinals on Friday from the site of the highest remaining seed.
