Edmond, Okla. – Third seeded Central Oklahoma hit .289 and had eight blocks as a team in a 25-20, 25-20, 25-22 win over sixth seeded Northwest Missouri in the quarterfinals of the MIAA Volleyball Tournament.
For the Bronchos Taylor Bevis led the way with a double-double finishing with 11 kills and 13 digs. Ijeoma Njenje also finished in double figure kills with 10 while Jordan Spence had a team best five blocks. Katy Davis had 34 assists and Dominique Lipari had 14 digs on the evening.
For the Bearcats Maddie Bruder finished in double figure kills with 12 while Jackie Becker added five blocks. Miranda Foster and Olivia Nowakoski had 14 digs each and Sarah Dannettell had 31 assists.
The Bronchos will face the second seeded Washburn and at 5 p.m. on Nov. 18 from Kearney, Neb.
