Kearney, Neb. –- Top seeded Nebraska-Kearney hit .280 for the match as they earned a 25-12, 25-17, 25-18 win over eighth seeded Emporia State in the quarterfinals of the MIAA Volleyball Tournament.
For the Lopers Kendall Schroer led the way with 11 kills while Annie Wolfe added a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs. Lindsey Smith also finished with a double-double on the evening as she had 37 assists and 10 digs. Ellie McDonnell led on the return with 12 digs while Tara Ziegelbein had a game high three blocks.
For the Hornets Jamie Hauptman had a team high 10 kills while Allie Maloney led on the return with 14 digs. Kimberly Bell had 14 assists while Emma Dixon finished with 12 for the match.
UNK will face off with fourth seeded Central Missouri on Friday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Kearney, Neb.
