Three teams remain unbeaten as MIAA football moves into week three.

Central Missouri at #1 Northwest Missouri
#1 Northwest Missouri will look to stay unbeaten as they welcome Central Missouri to town in week three. The Bearcat offense is led by Brady Bolles who is 38 of 58 for 469 yards with three touchdowns while rushing for 27 yards and two scores. Phil Jackson is averaging 71 yards per game rushing with five touchdowns. On defense Eric Reimer has 16 total tackles, including two for a loss and one sack. For the Mules MIAA Offensive Athlete of the Week LaVance Taylor is averaging 203 yards per game rushing with seven total touchdowns on the year. Hayden Hawk is 40 of 76 through the air with one touchdown pass to Taylor. On the defensive side of the ball Ricky Spratley has 25 tackles and one interception while Tevin Teamer has picked off a team best two passes this season.

#8 Pittsburg State at Washburn
#8 Pittsburg State will also look to stay unbeaten as they travel to face in-state rival Washburn in the MIAA Television Network Game of the Week. The Gorillas are led by Anthony Abenoja who is averaging 276 yards per game passing with four touchdowns thorugh the air and one on the ground. Marquis Cushon is averaging 118 yards per game receiving with a touchdown while Jeff Seybold has two touchdown catches. On defense Tyler Disney has a team best 19 tackles and Deron Washington has picked off two passes. The Ichabods are led by Mitch Buhler was is 40 of 81 for 465 yards and five touchdowns through the air. DeJuan Beard has caught three touchdown passes and Vershon Moore is averaging 81 yards per game on the ground. On defense Calvin Kenney has 17 tackles and has picked off a pass this season while Cody Herman and Akmad Abul-Razzaq each have 16 tackles.

Central Oklahoma at Emporia State
Central Oklahoma will look to remain unbeaten as they hit the road for Emporia State in week three. The Bronchos are led by Chas Stallard who is averaging 237.5 yards per game passing with two touchdowns and 98.5 yards per game rushing with two scores. Marquez Clark is averaging 58.0 yards per game receiving while Connor Pulley has hauled in two touchdown passes. MIAA Defensive Athlete of the Week Cody Jones has two interceptions with one returned for a touchdown. The Hornets are led by Brent WIlson who is averaging 366.5 yards per game passing with five touchdowns. Austin Willis has three touchdown catches and Antonio Brown has rushed for two touchdowns. On defense Jason Tetuan has 17 tackles and Devon Dinwiddie has picked off two passes.

Missouri Southern at Nebraska-Kearney
Someone will leave the game with their first win of the season as Missouri Southern travels north to face Nebraska-Kearney. For the Lopers Bronson Marsh has 104 yards passing to go along with 124 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Romero Cotton is leading the way on the ground averaging 77.5 yards per game. On defense Tyke Kozeal leads the way with 26 tackles including five which have been for a loss. The Lions offense is led by Michael Nelson who is averaging 76.5 yards per game rushing and 32.0 yards per game receiving with a team best three touchdowns. Giresse Forchu has two touchdows on the ground while Will Gregory has also rushed for a score. On defense for MSSU Dalvin Taylor has a team best 19 tackles while Darryl Smith has picked off a pass and Jahnquavious McBride has a fumble recovery.

Northeastern State at Missouri Western
Missouri Western will play host to Northeastern State as the Griffons look for their second win and NSU tries to pick put their first. For the Griffons Raphael Spencer is leading the way averaging 124 yards per game rushing with one touchdown. Through the air Skyler Windmiller has 234 yards passing and two touchdowns. On defense Stephen Jeregens has 26 tackles and Janis Matulis has two sacks. The RiverHawks are led by Kevin Pantastico who is averaging 214.5 yards per game passing with two touchdowns. Garrett Powell and Ricki Herod have each hauled in a touchdown catch this season. On the defensive side of the ball Steffon Herd has 12 tackles with Donnie Fuston adding three for a loss and Romon Beard has an interception on the year.

Lindenwood at Fort Hays State
Both teams will be looking for their second win of the season as Lindenwood makes the long trip out to Fort Hays State. For the Tigers Treveon Albert is averaging 86.5 yards per game passing with three touchdowns and adds 20.0 yards per game on the ground with two scores. Through the air Ed Williams has made 11 catches for 177 yards and a score. On defense Justin McPhail has a team leading 19 tackles with three sacks and an interception. For the Lions Dillon Miller is averaging 155 yards per game passing with one touchdown. On the ground both Marvin Byrd and Stephen Kaiser have punched in two touchdowns. On defense Connor Harris is leading the way with 15 total tackles and has also picked off two passes.
