Kansas City, Mo. -- The final week of the regular season is on tap for the teams of MIAA football. The selection show from www.ncaa.com to announce post-season pairings is scheduled for Nov. 16 at 4 p.m. central time.
Emporia State at Nebraska-Kearney
Emporia State will close out the regular season with a road trip up north to Nebraska-Kearney. The Hornets are led by Austin Willis who has 51 catches for 731 yards and six touchdowns and Kavaski Irvin who has 55 catches for 548 yards and five scores. Antonio Brown has carried the ball 141 times for 681 yards and six touchdowns and Kai Callins has added 336 yards on the ground with two scores. On defense Deshawn Dinwiddie has 74 tackles and Deveon Dinwiddie has picked off four passes. For the Lopers Bronson Marsh has 729 rushing yards for 11 touchdowns and 1,343 yards through the air with nine touchdowns. Cougar Williams has caught three touchdown passes while Tityus Mitchell and Allen Sampson have hauled in two scores each. On defense Tyke Kozeal has 126 tackles and George Brown has picked off three passes.
Lindenwood at Northeastern State
Northeastern State will close out the season by playing host to Lindenwood in week eleven action. For the RiverHawks Kevin Pantastico is 170 of 332 through the aiar for 1,916 yards and seven touchdowns. Terrence Dixon has rushed for three touchdowns and Garrett Powell has 728 receiving yards with five scores. On defense Steffon Herd has 75 tackles and Kenneth Davis and Jeremiah Milton have a team leading 8.5 tackles for a loss each. For the Lions Graham Lindeman has passed for 1,645 yards and eight touchdowns with Dillon Miller adding five touchdowns through the air. Greg Coble has hauled in a team best three touchdowns with Lavorrie Johnson and Jaron Alexander each hauling in two catches for scores. MIAA Defensive Athlete of the Week Connor Harris has a league best 138 tackles and has also picked off two passes.
Missouri Western at Missouri Southern
Missouri Western will hit the road in search of their seventh win as they close out the regular season at Missouri Southern. For the Griffons Raphael Spencer has rushed for a team best 981 yards and has found the end zone six times. Skyler Windmiller has thrown for 1,577 yards and seven touchdowns connecting with Dee Tolliver and Bradynn Clark three times each. On defense Stephen Juergens has 95 tackles and Marc Harrison and Michael Jordan have picked off four passes each. The Lions are led by Giresse Forchu who has 692 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns this season. Shannon Saunders has seven scores and Michael Nelson has four the end zone six times. On the defensive side of the ball Johnquavious McBride has a team best 86 tackles and has intercepted four passes.
Fort Hays State at Central Missouri
Fort Hays State and Central Missouri will both be looking to finish strong as they face off in Warrensburg during week eleven. The Mules are led by LaVance Taylor who has 1,505 rushing yards with 14 touchdowns on the year. Hayden Hawk is 174 of 307 through the air for 2,201 yards and 13 touchdowns connecting with Kyle Echols a team high four times. On defense Ricky Spratley has a team high 81 tackles and Connor Smith has picked off four passes. For the Tigers Treveon Albert has 1,474 yards through the air with 10 touchdowns and has also added five touchdowns on the ground. Edward Smith has rushed for 523 yards and five scores while Ed Williams has 902 receiving yards while hauling in five touchdown catches. On the defensive side of the ball Justin McPhail has 99 tackles and Alex Schmidtberger and Nathan Lindsey have each picked off three passes.
Washburn at #7 Northwest Missouri
Northwest Missouri will be looking to close out a shot at the MIAA title as they play host to Washburn in a game at Arrowhead Statdium. The Bearcats are led by Brady Bolles who has 2,115 passing yards and 17 touchdowns also adding seven scores on the ground. Robert Burton III has nine touchdowns on the ground while Cameron Wilcox and Phil Jackson have each scored six times. On defense Eric Reimer has 58 tackles, including 10.5 for a loss, and DJ Gnader has 55 stops on the year. For the Icabods Vershon Moore has 181 carries for 909 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground. Zeke Palmer is 131 of 230 for 1,474 yards and seven touchdowns with DaJuan Beard hauling in a team best five touchdown catches. On defense Calvin Keeney has 94 tackles and has picked off a team best three passes.
#6 Pittsburg State at Central Oklahoma
#6 Pittsburg State will have an MIAA title on the line, while Central Oklahoma looks to complete a nine win season in the MIAA Television Network Game of the Week. The Gorillas are led by Anthony Abenoja who has 3,053 passing yards with 25 touchdowns and two more scores on the ground. MIAA Offensive Athlete of the Week Marquise Cushon has 1,073 receiving yards with seven touchdowns and Gavin Lutman has 930 receiving yards with 10 scores. On defense Spencer Brown has 81 tackles and Heath Wilson leads the team with 5.5 sacks. The Bronchos are led by Chas Stallard who has 1,806 passing yards with eight touchdowns and 618 rushing yards and nine scores. Jake Gandara has carried the ball 167 times for 1,008 yards and 11 touchdowns. On defense Chass Glaspie has 76 tackles and Cody Jones has picked off four passes.
