Kansas City, Kan. -- Missouri Southern get a six hit shutout as they earned a 9-0 win to advance to tomorrow's action.

The Lions put up six runs in the seven inning as the earned the first round victory.

For the Lions Tee Helsel was two for four with a grand slam also scoring two runs. Michael McCoy was two for four with two RBI. Sam Ryan went two for five with a run scored. Nick Doughty was two for three with two runs driven in. Brett Abell threw nine innings and struck out seven.

For the Gorillas Cody Bell was two for four with a triple.
