Three teams battle for title spot

Overland Park, Kan. -- Fort Hays State earned a spot in the MIAA Softball Championship game while the three remaining teams will battle to be their opponent.
Fort Hays State 5, Central Oklahoma 0
Maddie Holub threw her second no-hitter of the MIAA Tournament as she shut out Central Oklahoma to lead her team into the Championship game.
For the Tigers Amanda Vaupel was one for four with two runs driven in. Tori Beltz was one for three with a home run and two RBI. Holub allowed just three baserunners and struck out five for her second no-hitter of the post-season.
FHSU will await their opponent in the MIAA Championship while Central Oklahoma awaits the winner of the Emporia State/Missouri Western game.
Missouri Western 7, Northeastern State 4
Missouri Western used a four run fourth inning to take the lead and stayed out in front as they defeated Northeastern State to remain alive in the tournament.

For the Griffons Kendall Sorensen was three for four with three runs driven in. Maegan Roemmich went two for four with two runs scored. In the circle Janie Smith allowed seven hits and struck out three to pick up the win.
For the RiverHawks Megan Robison was one for three with a solo home run. Saharra Henson went one for three and drove in two runs.
MWSU will face Emporia State in an elimination game while NSU is eliminated from the tournament.

Emporia State 6, Truman 2
Emporia State got two runs in the second inning as they remained alive with a 6-2 victory over Truman.

For the Hornets Cacy Williams hit her 10th home run of the season and drove in three runs. Amanda Self went three for three with a two runs scored and two driven in. In the circle Karley Schmelzer struck out nine to earn the victory.

For the Bulldogs Kristin Grossman hit her 11th home run on a solo shot. Cate Simon was two for two while Kesley Bollman added an RBI.

ESU will face Missouri Western tonight in an elimination game and TSU is eliminated from the tournament.
