Win 12-2 to keep championship hopes alive

Kansas City, Kan. -- Missouri Western used a nine run third inning to force a second championship game with a 12-2 win over Missouri Southern.

For the Griffons Michael Schulze was three for three with two runs scored and two runs driven in. Bubba Dotason went two for four and drove in two runs. Kyle Simpson finished three for four with two RBI. Spencer Shockley and Grant Fink each scored two runs while Jimmy Smelcer drove in two. Jake Schrader went two for three with two runs scored. ON the mound Kyle Kelly picked up his third win going seven innings and striking out four.

For the Lions Sam Ryan was two for three with a run scored and two driven in. Michael McCoy also scored a run for MSSU.

The two will now play in a winner take all game at 1:30 p.m.
