Kansas City, Mo. – Seventh seed Emporia State pulled the second upset of the night as they knocked off second seed Northeastern State 3-0 in the MIAA Women’s Soccer Tournament.

Jordan Foutch got the scoring started in the 20th minute beating the keeper to the far post on a McKenzie Koch assist. Mallory Walden buried a header off a Shannon Thomas free kick to give ESU the 2-0 lead in the 43rd minute.

McKenzie Koch would score an unassisted goal in the 60th minute to put the game away. Yadira Rivera recorded the shutout stopping seven NSU shots to earn the victory.

Emporia State will play Southwest Baptist at 7 p.m. on Nov. 8 from College Boulevard Activities Complex in Olathe, Kan.
