MIAA Wrestler of the Week
Derek Koehn, Fort Hays State
Koehn went 3-1 for the week and was the champion of the Newman Invitational at 157 pounds on Sunday. After a first round bye, Koehn won three straight matches to take his respective weight class. He opened with a 7-2 victory over Trent Robb of Neosho County Community College. This avenged a 2-0 loss to Dauphin just two nights earlier in dual action with UCO. The 157 pound junior is a native of Pittsburg, Kan. where he competed at Pittsburg High School.
Others nominated: Jacob Jones, Lindenwood; Matt Lenagh, Nebraska-Kearney; Ty Loethen, Central Missouri; Ryan Maus, Truman.
