1974 NCAA National Champions

The Bears won the MIAA meet and became the first MIAA team to win a national cross country title. They scored 112 points at the national race, which was held at Grandview Golf Course in Springfield. The Bears beat defending national champion South Dakota State by 18 points to claim the crown. Dan Dwyer took third at the national meet, while John Prasuhn, the 1974 and 1976 MIAA champ, was fourth.
