MIAA Launches New Web Site
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A new look has been unveiled
for the MIAA as the conference has announced the launching of its
new and enhanced Web site, hosted by PrestoSports.
"We are thrilled to launch the new site and the partnership with
Presto," MIAA Commissioner Jim Johnson said.
The new site (www.themiaa.com) features a live scoreboard, new
MIAA Facebook and Twitter pages and enhanced exposure for corporate
partners of the MIAA. David Boyce, who wrote for the Kansas
City Star for 21 years covering high schools, area colleges,
the Royals, the Wizards and boxing, joined the MIAA this summer and
his work will be showcased weekly on the site in the form of
feature stories, game previews and game recaps.
The MIAA is committed to bringing the conference to life
through new media opportunities. The enhanced Web site is the first
step in this endeavor. Fans should look at the site as the
"gathering place" to follow the MIAA and its member
institutions.
"We want to add a more personal way for fans to follow league
activities," Johnson said. "We feel we have accomplished this with
the site's appearance along with the addition of David as the
feature writer, the addition of the live scoreboard as well as the
addition of Twitter and Facebook social media outlets. We will
continue to enhance the site with video and other interactive
components as we move forward."
